NamEnergy has identified transmission infrastructure as one of the areas that it would like to participate in Namibia in partnership with strong and credible strategic technical partners with wealth of experience in construction of distribution and transmission power lines. Construction projects will include sub-stations and GIS as well as the construction of power houses. NamEnergy has relationships with large civil construction companies in Namibia and South Africa, and through this network, it is competitively placed to add considerable value.
The sourcing and supply of various transformers (small and large transformers) is another product that NamEnergy can source and supply to the Namibian market through its network of associates around the world.
NamEnergy has established strong relationship with state utilities in the energy sector, and it is currently forging new relationships with other state utilities in the water, ports and agricultural sector.
NamEnergy primary partnership drive is to become a leading local investment company in Namibia by 2020 with a diversified portfolio which include not only equity ownership, but also an engineering consultancy firm, specialised logistic solutions provider in the energy and related infrastructure sector as well as a leading local petroleum trading company.
